California offers good drivers auto insurance discount

California drivers are eligible for a cost-saving insurance program.California’s Department of Insurance has instituted a campaign to promote a cost-saving insurance program.

The Get Out and Drive campaign is reminding the state’s residents that they may be eligible for the California Low Cost Auto Insurance program. Good drivers who are financially in need can receive low-cost automobile liability insurance for $368 or less per year.

Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner told the Los Angeles Independent that "California’s low-cost automobile insurance program provides drivers with the liability insurance required by law, so that they are covered for the upcoming travel season. The economy is tough, but this program is affordable and it may be just right for some."

To be eligible for this cheap California car insurance, residents must be at least 19 years old, have had a license for three continuous years, not have been involved in more than one at-fault property damage-only accident, and meet certain income requirements. The value of a driver’s vehicle also cannot be more than $20,000.ADNFCR-3298-ID-19760995-ADNFCR
