Blue car on highwayA humor-based defensive driving class is being offered by a course approved by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles which allows drivers to become eligible for auto insurance savings.

Defensive Driving by Improv is a voluntary online class that allows its participants to reduce their driver violation point total and possibly receive a 10 percent over three years saving on their automobile policy. It just celebrated its one-year anniversary of being a New York DMV-approved program.

Improv CEO and founder Gary Alexander said that “a year ago we went live as part of the New York DMV’s innovative effort to take driver improvement online. For over twenty years, our mission has been to increase the effectiveness of driver improvement instruction by making it fun and easy for students to succeed.”  The online defensive driving course must be finished within 30 days of signing up.

Discounts leading to cheap insurance are available for those who take defensive driving courses all over the country, particularly teenagers and senior citizens. Classes are offered through state programs, private companies, and even from providers.ADNFCR-3298-ID-19802838-ADNFCR
