No Complaints for California Casualty Car Insurance

Picture of a metropolitan areaFor the eighth time in 10 years, California Casualty Insurance is among the top insurance companies for fewest justified complaints in the Golden State, according to the California Department of Insurance.

In fact, the Consumer Complaint Survey shows California Casualty Insurance and four other auto insurance companies having zero justified complaints in 2009.

The car insurance company’s vice president of group and internet marketing, Mike McCormick, notes that California Casualty Insurance also earns high marks for customer service as well.

“Our customer retention is above 90 percent,” said McCormick. “This means a remarkable percentage of customers choose to stay with California Casualty year after year, and a major reason for that is world-class customer service.”

The Consumer Complaint Study uses a ranking system based on the number of complaints filed per 100,000 insured cars.The state department recommends that shoppers looking to buy auto insurance in California use the complaint study to judge the quality of a prospective provider.

The California Department of Insurance recommends considering the survey’s findings when selecting an insurer.

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners says that more than 36 percent of all insurance complaints received in 2008 were auto-related. They say most complaints involved problems with delays and denials of claims.
