Nationwide Auto Insurance Becomes Official NFL Team Sponsor

blimp view of football stadiumAuto insurance and football may not be something that people immediately associate with one another, but that could soon be changing after Nationwide Insurance’s recent announcement that they will be the official insurance provider of the Cincinnati Bengals this fall.

The auto insurance company plans on doing more than just plastering signs around Paul Brown Stadium. Bengals fans will be able to get free water taxi rides on the Nationwide ferry in November and December, and fans that are into cheering can use their skills in Nationwide’s World’s Greatest Bengals Growl contest.

“Cincinnati Bengals fans are among the most passionate in the NFL,” said Nationwide Insurance strategic sponsorships associate vice president John Aman. “It’s this passion that we feel is a perfect match for the Nationwide brand.”

Nationwide stands to gain great exposure through the partnership with the Bengals. Paul Brown Stadium seats over 65,000 people, and, according to ESPN, more than 512,000 football fans sat in the stadium last year. The Bengals are already working hard for their upcoming season. Their first home game will be against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 19.
