Esurance Switches Gears With New Auto Insurance Ads

blue car driving with blurry backgroundAuto insurance is a competitive industry, and Esurance is taking steps to re-brand itself in a way that will entice consumers. In order to do so, the company is launching a new ad campaign emphasizing its offering of both online and person-to-person services.

Drivers will soon see roadside billboards, buses, and bus stops covered with images of characters from the new television advertisements.

Esurance marketing vice president, Darren Howard, explains that the new advertisements will showcase the company’s product benefits; he describes this as the inclusion of both the “techie” and more “feely” sides of the company.

The new ads are a departure from the company’s long-used and most recent ad campaign, which featured an animated superhero, named “Erin Esurance.” The new human ensemble reflects a much different approach for the company, which offers its services in 30 states.

“In our new commercials, each ensemble cast member represents either the human or technology side of Esurance,” says Howard.

Also featured in the new ads is the online repair-monitoring system.

“This innovative feature allows customers with claims to access daily updates and photos of their cars during the repair process,” Howard said.

While advertisements can be a good way to become aware of new car insurance companies, consumers should not base their decision solely on a commercial. When selecting an auto insurance provider, consumers should research to see which company’s products are most in line with their needs and budget.
