Car Insurance Company Offers New App

Apple's iPhoneRecently, New Jersey car insurance provider High Point  released an application that works on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch products. The new program, which gives users a number of features that may be helpful in car maintenance or accidents, can be downloaded for free at the iTunes store or through the insurer’s web site.

For car maintenance purposes, the app stores information about repair history as well as a list of preferred auto body shops. If a user happens to have an accident, he or she can use the app to take notes and upload photos. There is even a feature that can pinpoint the crash location through Google Maps. This information can be sent to High Point in order to start the insurance claims process.

“What technology offers us, and our customers, is limitless and I’m proud that we’ve been able to harness it. That’s what being more than just insurance is about,” said Gerry Wilson, High Point chief executive officer. “This app’s at-your-fingertips functionality is yet another step forward in making our customers’ lives easier.”
