A decade-long fire and casualty broker, Cesar Diaz applied his experience to launch this news division as an extension to Online Auto Insurance.

Diaz’s ability to “think outside the box” has led to the development of multiple successful insurance websites with high organic traffic as well as multiple brick and mortar insurance sales offices in Southern California, which remain in operation today and hold a large book of business.

Diaz oversees strategies and operations for Online Auto Insurance News.

Benjamin Zitney holds a degree in journalism from California State University Long Beach, where he worked for three years at the campus news publication, the Daily Forty-Niner, as a copy editor, news editor and reporter. At the Forty-Niner, Benjamin’s focus was reporting on economic trends and chronicling the turbulent relationship between the California State Legislature and the California State University system.

At the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority, he researched 30 years’ worth of agency documents and records and interviewed past and present employees in order to construct an extensive company history of the 30-year-old municipal insurance entity.

Benjamin is committed to applying his journalistic experience to bring readers relevant and breaking reports at Online Auto Insurance News.

Gregor McGavin is an award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience at news organizations nationwide.

He has reported and edited for print, radio, television and the Web and has worked as a reporter or editor at outlets including the Arizona Republic, Associated Press, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the Press-Enterprise in Southern California.

John Pirro is a licensed fire and casualty insurance agent specializing in various aspects of the auto insurance industry. John also has an extensive understanding of the auto insurance laws and requirements of the 50 United States as well as the District of Columbia, which allows the ability to deliver news pertaining to new laws and regulations once proposed and how they may be beneficial or detrimental to the consumer and industry.

John has a background in the auto body repair industry, which allows him to report news not only from the standpoint of a licensed insurance agent, but also as a former representative of policyholders during the claims and repair process, allowing him to sympathize with the views of the consumer.

John is enthusiastic in bringing his knowledge of both sides of the industry to report relevant and informative news for Online Auto Insurance News.
